Ratio = volume of the last closed bar ÷ average volume of the 20 closed bars before it (in coin units). Bar change = that bar's close ÷ open − 1. Taker buy = share of that bar's volume filled by market buy orders. Forming (proj.) = volume of the bar still forming ÷ (20-bar average × fraction of the bar elapsed); it appears once 10% of the bar has passed and is not final. KRW is a reference conversion at the USDT/KRW rate. Dimmed rows still show the previous bar.

Closed Coin TF Ratio Change

Coins that hit 3× or more on a newly closed bar are logged in this browser. When you come back, missed bars are filled in for up to the last 9 bars.

Bars = volume (solid bars are 2× or more of the previous 20-bar average), yellow line = previous 20-bar average volume, dots = closed bars at 3× or more.

What this tool does

Volume often moves before price. When a single bar trades several times its usual amount, something is usually going on: news, a large order or a wave of liquidations. This tool sweeps the top 80 coins on Binance by turnover on the 5-minute, 15-minute or 1-hour chart and ranks them by how many times their normal volume the bar that just closed traded. A recent-catches log and optional spike alerts help you not miss one.

How it is calculated

The universe is the top 80 Binance spot USDT pairs by 24-hour turnover (stablecoins and wrapped tokens excluded, as are coins priced within ±1% of $1 with a 24-hour range under 1% and coins whose trading is halted on the exchange). For each coin the last 30 bars (including the one still forming) are fetched, and the ratio of the last closed bar = its volume ÷ the simple average volume of the 20 closed bars before it. Volume is counted in coin units and the forming bar never enters the ratio. 5× or more is tagged Extreme, 3× or more Spike, 2× or more Elevated. Bar change = (close ÷ open − 1) × 100; turnover = the bar's USDT volume; taker buy share = taker buy volume ÷ volume (above 55% buyers ahead, below 45% sellers ahead). Forming (projected) = forming-bar volume ÷ (previous 20-bar average × fraction of the bar elapsed), shown only once 10% of the bar has passed. KRW = USDT × Bithumb's USDT/KRW rate (Upbit as fallback), a reference only. Scans run every 60 seconds on 5m, every 2 minutes on 15m and every 5 minutes on 1H, plus 3 seconds after every bar close.

Things to know

Frequently asked questions

How exactly is the ratio calculated?

It is the last closed bar's volume (in coin units) divided by the average volume of the 20 closed bars before it. If a coin averaged 1,000 coins per 15-minute bar and the bar that just closed traded 4,200, the ratio is 4.2×. Unlike TradingView's 20-period volume moving average, a bar is not part of its own average, so you can compare each bar directly with the yellow average line on the chart.

Why judge the closed bar and not the one forming?

The forming bar is still accumulating volume, so its value is not final. Its pace is shown separately in the Forming (proj.) column: forming volume ÷ (average × fraction of the bar elapsed). It appears only after 10% of the bar has passed and is not a confirmed figure.

How often does it update?

All 80 coins are rescanned every 60 seconds on 5m, every 2 minutes on 15m and every 5 minutes on 1H, and again 3 seconds after each bar closes. The countdown shows the time to the next close. Scanning pauses while the tab is hidden and resumes as soon as you return; with spike alerts on it keeps going in the background.

How do Recent catches and spike alerts work?

Coins that reach 3× on a newly closed bar are stored in this browser only (nothing is sent to a server), up to the last 30. When you come back, missed bars are filled in for up to the last 9 bars per coin. With alerts on, scanning continues while the tab is hidden, and a newly closed bar that matches the chosen direction and reaches the larger of 3× and your minimum ratio triggers a browser notification, a tab-title badge and a short beep. The first scan after opening the page is a baseline and never alerts, and back-filled older bars go into the log without an alert.

How is the KRW turnover calculated?

It is the bar's USDT turnover multiplied by Bithumb's USDT/KRW rate (Upbit if Bithumb fails), a reference only. It is the amount traded on Binance converted to won, not turnover on Korean exchanges.
